Our Structure at Mercy is simple: Sunday morning worship and small groups with various ministry teams and training events.
Some small groups are based on a topic or theme and are short term 4-16 weeks, others are on-going. We believe that at most a person should be involved with two consistent church groups--the large group worship time and a small group or ministry team. To get involved email us Contact.
SMALL GROUPS
There are small groups that meet at various times based on interests with the main goal of growing spiritually by learning together and building real relationships; some are short term, others continue on. A current listing is available in the bulletin along with Small Group Leaders.
WORSHIP TEAM

PASTORAL LEADERSHIP
Everyone at Mercy helps in the ministry of pastoring, specifically Connecting Group leaders.
Our pastoral leader, in the traditional sense, is Shel (Shelby) Boese. He led young adult and postmodern focused worship services at First Assembly of God for 7 1/2 years and also served in Young Adult and Small Group pastoral leadership roles. Prior to coming to Sioux Falls, Shel was the worship pastor at a new church plant in Coon Rapids, MN. Now he is our Sioux Falls church planting pastor with the Christian & Missionary Alliance.
Pastor Shel enjoys camping, kayaking, music, and reads constantly. Shel is enrolled in doctoral studies (D.Min.) at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities (part of the theological consortium that include Bethel, Luther, St. John, and St. Thomas Seminaries). He is a graduate (M.Div.) of Sioux Falls Seminary (formerly named: North American Baptist Seminary see links). His wife, Anne, is an artist, designer and homemaker. Their three children are Maxwell, Claire and Oliver.
