Our desire is to be a church that has post-Christian and post-modern people in mind. For the Christian our approach is post-contemporary and post-seeker sensitive.
So what does all that mean? It means we are a church. God is not a product and we are not a business. So our first concern is with pleasing God. In carrying out the a
Great Commission
(Matthew 28:18-20 [NRSV])
and
Great Commandment
(Matthew 22:37-40 [NRSV])
of Jesus Christ we aim to live in a way that is pleasing to God.
In our worship gatherings we have an
ancient/future
tension and focus. That means we include worship elements used by the church throughout the ages. Stylistically we are creative and connecting. We connect the ancient images, message, and teachings of Christianity with emerging and future generations.
We are striving to create a church that encourages people to sort through their questions with freedom. We strive to empower people to be servant-leaders as Jesus was and is.
We are a church that
'meets you where you are at and helps you go where you haven't been before.'
We are a place very much concerned with wholeness.
